Simple tips to keep your sliding doors - sliding smoothly.
The following tip takes only a few minutes each month to ensure your sliding door continues to work like new!
1. Keep the track clean. It doesn't take long for dirt, pet hair and dust to build up inside the lower track and cause the rollers to bind or drag. Your vacuum cleaner is your friend, along with a simple screwdriver with a soft cloth to dislodge any stuck dirt etc.
2. For the extra stubborn dirt and grease on the track, a natural remedy is one cup of white vinegar to a bucket of hot soapy water and scrub the track thoroughly. A small stiff bristled brush for those tight areas. Make sure you thoroughly dry the track after cleaning.
